As the foundation for the Erkner–Seddin ETCS planning project, the SIGNON infrastructure data team performed line measurements on the south Berlin outer ring with the SATengine system. The results were provided to the planning engineers to compare the inventory data with the real infrastructure to guarantee a sound basis for planning.
At the same time, a virtual line inspection was created for the project on clearing up existing plans. This inspection can be used to check and, if necessary, update the plans. The data produced from this therefore had multiple uses.
The Trimble MX9 laser scanner was on board too so that the journey also produced videos and point clouds.
