In order to support the as-completed drawing update project, SIGNON was contracted by DB Netz AG to record the latest infrastructure data for the line from Munich – Rosenheim – Freilassing and/or Kiefersfelden.
The mobile capture of data took two days, with SIGNON not only providing the measuring system but also organising the traction vehicle and the timetable. The georeferenced videos and software for viewing them and surveying the objects were then handed over to the users just five weeks later. In order to support users in the surveying work and comparing plans, the relevant objects, including, among others, the light signals and axle counters, were extracted from the video recordings and surveyed by using artificial intelligence-based automated object recognition. These objects can then be selected directly in the videos and compared with the as-completed drawings, thus making it easier to navigate the data and editing process.
